About Me


Ric is a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist specializing in individuals  (both adolescents (15-18) and adult) and maintains a private practice in West Hartford, Connecticut

With over 28 years experience as a psychiatric nurse and as a graduate of Cambridge College and Providence School of Nursing specializing in mental health issues.  He is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are addictions, recovery oriented psychotherapy, grief, PTDS for veterans, adolescent addiction problems, medical psychotherapy for chronic medical problems and general mental health issues.

In addition to being a therapist, Ric is also an educator and has presented at national conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of addictions, depression, anxiety and phobias. He has also taught at the university and college level.

Ric is a interactive, compassionate and caring therapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.  He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
